You’re welcomed into the hall where the corridor runs the length of the house with the main bedroom, en-suite and WC to the left; a glazed door opening into the snug on the right with a door to the 2nd bedroom, and another glazed door to the heart of the house. Hard flooring runs throughout with many rugs for comfort and warmth.

DINING/KITCHEN
Light streams into this sociable space through skylights in the kitchen and French doors to the garden – perfect for indoor/outdoor living. The handsome dining table can seat up to eight guests.
Guests who enjoy cooking will love this generous and well-equipped kitchen where units wrap around housing a waist-height Bosch oven with a separate grill, a five-ring induction hob, a microwave, a five-shelf fridge with salad drawer, a two-drawer freezer, a slimline dishwasher a washing machine, plus a toaster and kettle.

LIVING ROOM
Relax and enjoy your holiday at any time of the year with a wood burner to take the chill off whilst watching the enormous TV in the winter months, and sunshine streaming in from both gardens in the summertime. Two enormous sofas encourage you to unwind and you’ll find some games, jigsaws, DVDs and local information so you can plan your day exploring. A circular table gives you the option of dining here instead of next door.

SUN ROOM
A cosy room where you can snuggle up on the sofa with a good book from the selection on the bookcase.

MAIN BEDROOM WITH EN-SUITE BATHROOM
The double bed takes pride of place in this contemporary bedroom with a bedside cabinet and ample space to store your clothes in built-in wardrobes and a couple of chests of drawers. There’s also a large wall-mounted TV and a dressing area with a chair.
This light and airy bathroom has a hand-held shower and screen over the bath, a WC, a wash basin with a vanity unit, a heated towel rail (towels are provided for all guests), and natural light.

BEDROOM TWO WITH EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM
This charming room is furnished with an attractive day bed which will be made as a single or can be used as a twin by pulling the trundle bed out (linen will be supplied so you can configure it to suit your needs. There’s a chair and a chest of drawers so you can unpack and settle in for your holiday.
A modern shower room with a step up to the shower cubicle which has a hand-held shower, plus the usual WC, wash basin, heated towel rail and window allowing natural light to shine through.

OUTSIDE
Saxon Cottage is on Donkey Lane, tucked away behind The Chequers Inn so you can easily pop to the pub pint and pub meal! There’s parking on the drive for two cars through the gate at the front of this detached bungalow with a lawn and herbaceous border. At the back is a wonderful patio area with lounge furniture, and an arch to the rear garden which is lawned with two dining areas so you can make the most of the long summer days. The owner is a dog lover so welcomes up to three dogs and will leave a cage which you can use if you'd like. Whilst the back garden is fully enclosed and secure, please do not leave children or pets unattended as they may find a spot to escape from!
